i agree that sometimes, it takes a while to find your balance

like a fawn on dizzy legs, trying to go the distance

this fawn knows that no matter how many times it will fall, that it will finally succeed

humans have an emotional depth that brings a plethora of thoughts that we do not need

we get lost in a haze from falling too hard that we don’t think it’s possible to get back up

what we have to remember is the fact that we cannot simply give up when it gets tough

we are either too bold with our words, or watching what we say

tiptoeing through a dense underbrush of possible offending statements, why are we this way?

i used to feel as fragile as a butterfly buffeting in the wind by a highway

because i felt that within a moment of a wrong turn, i’d lose control and fall away

in a society that claims to have become so strong

we are failing to see that everything is all wrong

from corruption in office, to homeless in the streets

we cannot allow this system to repeat

let’s come together and utilize our heads and our hearts

formulating a solution to bring us unity instead of tearing us apart

a better world is possible, i know it is and i know we are ready

to become a world that has found its balance and like the baby fawn, is now steady.
